Wisdom Audio Sage Series P38

The P38 is a point source rather than a line source — it radiates outward in an expanding sphere, the way the vast majority of loudspeakers do. That is a deliberate choice rather than a compromise, because a point source is the correct answer in rooms where the ceiling height or the seating layout will not support a true line source.

An MTM planar magnetic array handles midrange and treble, with four 6-inch high operating pressure woofers below — the same woofers used throughout the Sage Series. Wisdom's claim for the MTM array is specific and checkable: it delivers the same transparency, detail and instantaneous dynamics as the 24-inch planar driver used in multiples in the L75, L100 and L150, in a package sized for a more compact installation.

The P38 is the vertical version, offered in-wall as the P38i and on-wall as the P38m. It is timbre matched to the horizontal C38, so the two can be combined across a front stage. Enclosures are aircraft grade aluminium; two amplifier channels and outboard DSP are required.
