Wisdom Audio Insight Series P6i

The P6i is the largest point source in the Insight Series and presents with an authority normally associated with much bigger loudspeakers. It uses an MTM planar magnetic arrangement for the majority of its output and six 3 x 5-inch woofers below, reaching 116 dB at one metre from a baffle just over five inches wide.

Six smaller woofers rather than one or two large ones is a deliberate choice. It keeps the front baffle narrow, which is what preserves uniform horizontal dispersion, and it spreads the excursion across more drivers so the loudspeaker does not compress dynamically when the room asks for level.

It mounts vertically or horizontally, works in a wall or a ceiling, and takes optional custom-length grilles so it can be finished to the architecture. Crossover is at 600 Hz through an internal passive network, so a single amplifier channel drives it.
