Description

The Sasha V is where the modern Wilson lineage began — the fifth-generation descendant of the original WATT/Puppy, and for many listeners the first Wilson they own. It is a modular two-cabinet tower built for rooms and budgets where an Alexia V or larger would be architectural overreach, without diluting what makes a Wilson a Wilson.

The two-cabinet architecture is the point. The twin 8″ woofers occupy their own dedicated bass enclosure, tuned as a bass instrument rather than as the bottom of a shared box, while the upper module carries the Convergent Synergy Carbon tweeter and the 7″ alnico QuadraMag midrange — the same transducer program as the reference tier — and can be aimed at the listening position. The result reaches 19 Hz to 32 kHz within ±3 dB in-room, from a loudspeaker 45 inches tall and 238 pounds per channel.

Both showrooms keep the Sasha V working hard, and deliberately on very different amplification: in Scottsdale it hangs off a pair of Octave Jubilee Mono Ultimate tube monoblocks delivering 440 watts, and in Tempe it runs on a dCS Lina digital front end into Burmester amplification. The loudspeaker asks for a minimum of 50 watts and rewards a great deal more — hearing it on both topologies in one visit is the fastest way to understand its character and choose the electronics around it.

The honest comparisons are one step in each direction: Sabrina V below it, Alexia V above. All three are set up, and the differences are the kind you hear in the first few minutes rather than argue about afterward.
