Product Details

Description

Stradivari G2 is Sonus faber's second-generation homage to Antonio Stradivari — the Italian luthier whose violins are universally celebrated as some of the finest ever crafted. Released twenty years after the original Stradivari design took the HiFi world by storm, this new generation coincides with Sonus faber's 40th anniversary, emphasizing the brand's dedication to both honoring its roots and staying on the forefront of acoustical engineering.

Stradivari takes inspiration from the eighteenth-century Italian violin-making tradition, when advancements challenged classical rules by enlarging the instrument's shape to create a unique tone. Similarly, the reintroduction of the Stradivari speaker uses the latest advancement in audio technology to widen and enhance the soundstage. One of Stradivari G2's most distinctive features is the ability to adjust the woofers to the size of the room — individually adapting pristine sound to every unique space — through cutting-edge low-frequency management engineering.

The 3.5-way system pairs a 28 mm DAD 'Arrow Point' tweeter and 150 mm neodymium midrange — the midrange in a sealed box with Intono technology — with two 260 mm Dual Drive Motor woofers in the vented-box Stealth Ultraflex system, exhausting through the down-firing hourglass-shaped 'Clepsydra' reflex duct. Crossover points sit at 160, 220, and 2,200 Hz through a Phase Coherent Level 3 network. Sensitivity 92 dB, frequency response 25 Hz – 35 kHz, with recommended amplification of 100 to 600 watts. Non-parallel walls within the woofer acoustic chamber prevent standing-wave formation, and the iconic front soundboard evokes the artistry of timeless wood-crafted musical instruments with interspersed aluminum architecture.

Available in Graphite Wood, Red Wood, or Wengè Wood — each with Italian leather. Each speaker stands 1,374 mm tall and 715 mm wide at 81.5 kilograms. Hear it at LMC — walk in during business hours at Scottsdale or Tempe, or book ahead for a prepared listening session.
