Sonus faber Olympica G3 V

Olympica G3 V is the flagship of Sonus faber's third-generation Olympica Collection, introduced in mid-2026 as the successor to the Olympica Nova V. The collection takes its name and its proportions from Palladio's Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza — the theatre whose stage archway opens onto a painted street receding into the distance — and the G3 V is the largest expression of that idea: a full-scale three-way floorstander built to reproduce depth and space in a room, carrying technology that first appeared on the company's Suprema reference system.

At its heart is the 165 mm Camelia midrange — a paper-cone driver whose non-circular geometry is modelled on the petals of a camellia flower to break up the resonances a round cone would carry — mounted in its own sealed, cork-lined enclosure, isolated from the pressure of the three 165 mm paper-cone woofers working in the vented bass section. Above it sits a 28 mm DAD Arrow Point silk-dome tweeter with extended frequency response, also cork-lined behind the dome. Crossover points fall at 370 Hz and 2,390 Hz.

The cabinet keeps the asymmetrical lute shape that defines Olympica — no flat or parallel walls — in hand-finished walnut or wengè real-wood veneer with herringbone grain, solid aluminum flanges, and hand-applied Italian leather. Frequency response is 37 Hz – 40,000 Hz, sensitivity 90 dB SPL (2.83 V/1 m), nominal impedance 4 ohms, with a recommended amplifier range of 50 – 400 W. Each cabinet measures 1174 × 424 × 529 mm (46.3 × 16.7 × 20.8 in) and weighs 44 kg (97 lb).

Olympica G3 V is available in Walnut Wood or Wengè Wood, each with solid aluminum and leather.
