Sonus faber Palladio PS G101

PS G101 is the passive in-wall subwoofer of the Palladio Collection — the single low-frequency solution that integrates with both Level 5 and Level 6 Palladio systems. Passive design (no built-in amplifier) means the loudspeaker is driven by an external subwoofer amplifier or a receiver with dedicated subwoofer output — which is what the custom-install market expects, since power amplification is typically racked separately from architectural loudspeakers.

The driver is a 250 mm (10-inch) sandwich cone — a foam core with cellulose pulp covering on both sides, designed for large excursion without cone flexure. The voice coil is a long-throw 51 mm (2-inch) design that handles substantial power without thermal compression. Rated power handling is 200 to 800 watts of undistorted signal. Cabinet is an infinite-baffle in-wall design; the box can optionally be opened to allow acoustic loading of the plasterboard inter-space, giving installers flexibility to tune the low-frequency response to the room. Frame outer is 310 x 310 mm at 280 x 280 mm cut-out. Magnetic edgeless square metal grille, ready to be painted. Swing-out dogs plasterboard fixing. Handcrafted in Vicenza.
