Sonus faber Palladio PW 662

PW 662 is the flagship in-wall loudspeaker of the Palladio Level 6 Collection — Sonus faber's premium custom-installation line whose design language borrows directly from the Olympica Nova cabinet loudspeakers. Level 6 is the higher of two Palladio tiers (Level 5 mirrors Sonetto instead), and PW 662 sits at the top of the in-wall count within it. The wooden sealed box that houses the drivers is what distinguishes the top three Level 6 models (PW 662, PC 664 P, PL 664) from the rest of the range — it stops sound from bleeding through walls into adjoining rooms, and it gives the drivers a precisely-controlled acoustic load rather than the shared cavity of the wall itself.

The driver complement is a 29 mm DAD (Damped Apex Dome) silk soft dome tweeter and a 6.5-inch paper-cone midwoofer with natural fibre and cellulose pulp blend, mounted in a custom Sonus faber basket. Voice of Sonus faber leather detailing frames the tweeter and midwoofer. An optional Premium Kit is available for PW 662 and PL 664 only: a natural wood front panel with hand-made maple inlays in Walnut or Wenge, a paintable magnetic frame that covers the aluminium edges for total environmental integration, and the classic elastic string grille that identifies the higher Sonus faber ranges. Frame outer is 496 x 288 mm at 100 mm mounting depth. Magnetic edgeless rectangular metal grille, ready to be painted. Handcrafted in Vicenza.
