Sonus faber Olympica Nova III

Olympica Nova III is the mid-scale floorstander of Sonus faber's 2019 Olympica Nova Collection — the second-generation refresh of the Olympica line first launched in 2013. Positioned between Olympica Nova II and the flagship Olympica Nova V, the Nova III turns a listening experience into an immersive journey with a slender design that adapts to a wider range of rooms than the flagship.

The 3-way system incorporates the collection's asymmetrical lute-shape cabinet — the lack of flat and parallel walls improves enclosure performance and maintains the typical asymmetrical form of the first-generation Olympica. The asymmetrical shape allows versatile positioning to tune the bass response in any room. Lines follow the flow of a circular spiral motion for a more organic cabinet structure. The reflex duct is fully integrated into the cabinet, further improving the speed and transparency of sound.

Drivers: H28 XTR3 tweeter with neodymium 'cup design' motor system and DAD; M15 XTR2-04 CCAW-wire midrange on an eddy-current-free voice coil; twin W18XTR2-08 180mm woofers. The Stealth Ultraflex vented-box arrangement is directional in nature, so channel orientation matters in some rooms. Frequency response 35 Hz – 35 kHz.
