Sonus faber Olympica Nova I

Olympica Nova I is the bookshelf loudspeaker of Sonus faber's 2019 Olympica Nova Collection — a compact standard that brings the collection's asymmetrical lute-shape design language and driver technology into a stand-mount form. Where the floorstanders in the Nova line address the room from the floor up, Nova I is designed for smaller listening environments or as a starting point for a system that may grow with the Olympica Nova CI/CII center channel and W wall models.

Like the rest of the Nova collection, the cabinet lacks flat and parallel walls — the asymmetrical lute shape improves enclosure performance and allows versatile positioning to tune bass response in any room. The reflex duct is fully integrated into the cabinet. Front baffle and top are made in walnut or wengè hand-finished natural wood, set in a solid die-cast aluminum plate. Italian leather encircles the Voice of Sonus faber tweeter/midrange assembly, hand-applied at Vicenza.

The 2-way system pairs the H28 XTR3 neodymium tweeter with DAD and a midwoofer engineered specifically for the Nova bookshelf role. The compact form factor gives Nova I versatile placement options that the floorstanders cannot match — desks, bookshelves, cabinet tops, or dedicated stands (Olympica Nova I Stand available separately).
