Sonus faber Olympica Nova II

Olympica Nova II is the compact floorstanding loudspeaker of Sonus faber's 2019 Olympica Nova Collection — sitting between Nova I (bookshelf) and Nova III (mid-scale floorstander). It is the smallest Olympica floorstander, engineered specifically for rooms where Nova III's footprint is too much and a bookshelf is too little.

The 3-way system carries the same driver technology as the rest of the Nova line — H28 XTR3 tweeter with neodymium 'cup design' motor and DAD, M15 XTR2-04 CCAW-wire midrange on an eddy-current-free voice coil, and a single W18XTR2-04 180 mm woofer in the vented-box Stealth Ultraflex arrangement. Crossover points sit at 250 Hz and 2,500 Hz. The cabinet is the Nova asymmetrical lute shape: no flat or parallel walls, integrated reflex duct, and the circular-spiral form language that runs through the whole collection.

Frequency response extends from 40 Hz to 35 kHz with the Stealth reflex included. Sensitivity is 88 dB at 4 ohms nominal, with recommended amplification of 50 to 250 watts without clipping. Cabinet dimensions are 1,036 mm tall by 359 mm wide by 422 mm deep, at 30.7 kilograms each.

Finishes are Walnut, Wengè, or Piano Black high gloss, with hand-applied Italian leather at the Voice of Sonus faber tweeter and midrange rings.
