Aida is the pinnacle of Sonus faber's Reference Collection — a monumental floorstanding loudspeaker created to reproduce music with exceptional scale, dimensionality, control, and emotional realism. Named after Giuseppe Verdi's celebrated opera, Aida combines the Italian musical heritage that underpins every Sonus faber product with the most advanced acoustic engineering the company has developed short of Suprema.

Born from Italy's rich musical heritage and artisanal tradition, Aida maintains the signature Sonus faber lute shape with sinuous lines, clad in refined wood and leather. Every curve is deliberate — calculated to enhance both the aesthetic and acoustic experience. The 'Silent Case' curved on both sides gives greater control over the energy within the speakers, and a Tuned Mass Damper — the anti-vibration device used in the world's tallest skyscrapers — sits inside the cabinet, vibrating in antiphase to erase spurious resonance for clearer bass and a blacker background.

The 3-and-2/3-way system carries an all-neodymium driver complement: the 28 mm H28 XTR-04 DAD 'Arrow Point' tweeter and 180 mm M18 XTR-04 midrange forming the Voice of Sonus faber, two 220 mm W22XTR-12 sandwich-cone woofers, and a 320 mm SW32XTR-08 nano-carbon infra-woofer. The rear-facing Sound Field Shaper — a 29 mm DAD tweeter and twin 80 mm M8XTR midranges — lets the direct-to-reverberant balance be tuned to the room. Crossover points sit at 55, 150, 200, and 3,000 Hz; sensitivity is 92 dB at 4 ohms nominal, with recommended amplification from 100 to 1,000 watts.
