The McIntosh MHA200 is a compact 2-channel vacuum tube headphone power amplifier — McIntosh's only current dedicated headphone amplifier and one of the most compact McIntosh components ever made. In a footprint of just 6-1/8 inches by 9-1/8 inches, the MHA200 packs McIntosh's engineering into a purpose-built headphone amplifier for the growing category of listeners whose primary listening happens through premium headphones rather than loudspeakers.

Vacuum tube-based amplification delivers the tonal character that makes tube designs a natural pairing with premium headphones — the naturalness, midrange bloom, and stage depth that many headphone listeners specifically seek. Four selectable headphone impedance ranges accommodate any premium headphone from low-impedance IEMs to high-impedance flagship designs like the Sennheiser HD 800 series (300Ω) or the AKG K1000 lineage (120Ω).
