Kimber PK10 Palladian

PK10 Palladian is the larger of Kimber’s two Summit series power cords, purpose-built for the components that draw the most current from the wall — power amplifiers, monoblocks, powered subwoofers, and anything else where the amplifier’s grip on the loudspeaker depends on what the mains delivers first. Ten-gauge solid-core copper conductors, rated to exceed a 30-amp residential outlet, in a woven geometry consistent with the rest of the Kimber range.

What earns the Palladian name is the WattGate connector choice. Kimber manufactures the WattGate line, and the Palladian PowerKords are terminated with the top of that range — WattGate 330 AU EVO gold-plated at the wall and WattGate 350 AU EVO gold-plated at the component IEC (or C19 where the component takes higher-current termination). These are cryogenically-treated, mass-loaded connectors with an internal geometry engineered specifically for audio use rather than industrial mains connection, and they sit two full tiers above the WattGate Evolution connectors used on Kimber’s base PK series.

Neutral-colored virgin dielectric materials sit between the conductors — a decision Kimber makes at every tier, based on the observation that pigmented dielectrics introduce measurable inconsistencies over long production runs. The braid geometry rejects RFI without shielded foil, in the same manner that Kimber’s signal cables achieve field cancellation through their weave.

PK10 Palladian is the correct choice where the loudspeaker is genuinely full-range, the amplifier draws real current, and the case for treating the power connection as part of the signal path has been made and acted upon. The natural companions are the KS 6000 Select loudspeaker cables and the KS 1000 Select interconnects, for a level-matched Kimber reference chain.
