Clearaudio Statement V2

The Clearaudio Statement V2 has remained in continuous production since 2005 because Clearaudio has never found anything worth improving. A 350-kilogram (770-pound) system built from Panzerholz densified beech laminated between stainless-steel V2A plates, magnetically driven with a non-contact motor coupling, self-leveling on an 80-kilogram gyroscopic pendulum, and rotating a 98-millimeter POM main platter through a diamond-coated version of Clearaudio's patented Ceramic Magnetic Bearing.

The engineering priorities are singular. The gyroscopic base isolates the turntable from any structural vibration reaching the room. Main-platter speed is checked 7,000 times per minute by Optical Speed Control, holding speed accuracy tighter than ±0.03% at every rotation. The stainless-steel Outer Limit peripheral clamp couples every record fully to the platter mass, treating the record itself as an extension of the platter rather than a floating disc. The Statement V2 ships with the Statement TT1 linear-tracking tonearm and Goldfinger Statement V2.1 cartridge as standard; up to three additional pivoted tonearms can be accommodated for parallel comparison or format-specific setups.

In LMC's WAMM Room in Scottsdale, the Statement V2 anchors the vinyl side of the room's reference chain — feeding the Dan D'Agostino Momentum Phonostage into the Relentless Preamp, then to Relentless 800 monoblocks driving the Wilson WAMM Master Chronosonic loudspeakers, with Transparent Ultra Gen 6 cabling throughout. It is one of only a handful of Statement V2 turntables set up for regular audition in the United States.
