Clearaudio Innovation

The Innovation is the single-chassis expression of Clearaudio's Innovation architecture — the deck that has anchored Clearaudio's top-tier catalog for over fifteen years and remains the reference against which Clearaudio's newer designs are voiced. It shares the Master Innovation's 70-millimeter POM main platter, patented Ceramic Magnetic Bearing, high-torque decoupled DC motor, and Optical Speed Control — differing primarily in that the motor and main platter share a single Panzerholz plinth rather than being separated across two chassis.

The Innovation-tier engineering priorities are clear. Panzerholz densified beech provides the plinth's mechanical damping through material density rather than added mass — the composite has an internal loss characteristic that absorbs vibration frequencies which would otherwise couple back into the record contact point. The CMB provides low-friction, low-resonance rotation at the main bearing. Optical Speed Control with real-time infrared sensing keeps platter speed accuracy tighter than ±0.03% at every rotation across 33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm.

Two tonearm mounts are standard, allowing parallel-tonearm setups for A/B comparison, mono/stereo, or MM/MC without swapping. Professional Power 24-volt DC PSU included. Upgrade paths exist across every subsystem — platter, motor, PSU, tonearm — with any component investment fully transferrable if the deck is eventually elevated to Master Innovation configuration.
