The entry to Clearaudio’s Master line — dual-chassis deck with its motor in a separate sub-chassis, 70mm POM platter, Ceramic Magnetic Bearing.

Product Details

Description

The Master Innovation is the reference expression of Clearaudio's Innovation architecture — a two-part turntable in which the drive motor lives in a completely separate sub-chassis, linked to the main plinth by three high-torque belts running through a magnetic sub-platter arrangement. The result is a mechanical isolation of the drive system from the main bearing that no single-chassis design can match, engineered specifically to keep motor-borne vibration out of the record's contact point with the platter.

The main platter is 70-millimeter POM machined to Clearaudio's exacting tolerances. The patented Ceramic Magnetic Bearing is standard — a low-friction, low-resonance bearing design that Clearaudio pioneered and has refined across four decades of turntable production. Speed regulation uses Optical Speed Control with real-time infrared sensing, checking platter rotation continuously and holding speed accuracy tighter than ±0.03% across 33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm. Two tonearm mounts are standard, allowing the Master Innovation to carry parallel setups (MM/MC, mono/stereo, or different tonearms for A/B comparison) without swapping.

Construction is Panzerholz densified beech mated to precision-machined aluminum plates — the same core materials Clearaudio uses across every Master-tier and Reference-tier turntable. Professional Power 24-volt DC PSU included, with upgrade paths available across every subsystem should the deck later be elevated within a larger Clearaudio system.

For a listener wanting Innovation-family sonic character with the dual-chassis architecture's motor isolation, the Master Innovation is the natural entry into Clearaudio's Master line. Available on custom order at LMC — walk in during business hours or book ahead.
