The step below Njord on the same three-chip DLP laser platform — 4K UHD on Barco Pulse electronics with DynaBlack per-frame contrast.

Product Details

Description

Hodr sits directly below Njord in Barco's residential range and shares its architecture — a three-chip DLP laser engine at 4K UHD, running on the same Pulse electronics and software platform. Barco's own naming makes the relationship explicit: Hodr is Njord's brother, built for the same job in rooms that do not need Njord's full output.

The feature set carries across. DynaBlack analyses each frame and adjusts contrast dynamically, automatic tone mapping handles HDR content without manual intervention, and the same wide range of lens options covers the throw distances a real room presents. A Cinemascope version is offered for dedicated widescreen theatres.

Light output is configured to the installation, and the right figure for a given room depends on screen size, gain and ambient light control. That specification is worth doing properly rather than reading off a chart.
