Tempe Theater

Wilson Alexia V and Mezzo CSC on McIntosh MC1.25KW monoblocks, Trinnov Altitude32 processing, Kaleidescape source.
Most home theatres are assembled from home theatre components. This one is assembled from reference two-channel components, and the difference is audible inside the first minute.
The front stage is Wilson Alexia V with the Mezzo CSC centre — loudspeakers chosen because they are among the best Wilson builds, not because they were designed for cinema. Driving the mains, McIntosh MC1.25KW monoblocks at 1,250 watts each. The Autoformer delivers full rated power into two, four or eight ohms, which is what allows amplification of this class to sit in a multi-channel array without the impedance compromises that usually force cinema-specific gear.
Surround and height channels run on Wisdom Audio thin-film planar in-walls and Focal in-walls, with six Ascendo 2-19 subwoofers underneath. Processing is the Trinnov Altitude32, the only processor rendering Dolby Atmos Home at its full channel count, with the Optimizer and patented Remapping correcting the room rather than equalising it. Source is Kaleidescape, downloading films at bitrates well beyond Blu-ray with lossless audio intact.
