Stewart Filmscreen WallScreen Deluxe

WallScreen Deluxe is Stewart's workhorse fixed frame, built to order anywhere from 94 to 200 inches in whatever aspect ratio the room is designed around. The frame is finished in black Velux, and the surface is tensioned flat — which is the entire point of a fixed frame, since a retractable screen that has not hung long enough will show waves that no amount of projector calibration will fix.

The decision that actually matters is material, not frame. StudioTek 130 G4 for a light-controlled room, StudioTek 100 for a unity-gain reference surface, FireHawk or Phantom HALR where ambient light has to be rejected rather than merely tolerated. Each behaves differently with gain, viewing angle and off-axis seating.

Which one belongs in a given room depends on screen size, projector output and how much control the space has over light — a conversation rather than a spec sheet decision, and one worth having before the frame size is locked.
