Description
Balon Edge is the fixed-frame screen for a room where the screen should read as an image on the wall rather than as a framed object. The border is half an inch of black Velux and the whole assembly sits less than an inch and a half off the wall, with a flush-mount bracket supplied.
A narrow bezel is an aesthetic choice with an optical cost, and Stewart's black Velux covering is how that cost is managed — the fabric absorbs overspill at the edge so the image terminates cleanly instead of bleeding into a reflective frame. Any of Stewart's front projection materials can be specified, including StudioTek 130 G4 and the MicroPerf X² THX Ultra acoustically transparent variant for rooms where the front loudspeakers belong behind the screen.
Screens are made to order in the size and aspect ratio the room calls for. Balon Edge is the sensible specification for a media room that has to look like a room.
