Sonus faber Sonetto VIII G2

Sonetto VIII G2 is the flagship of Sonus faber's second-generation Sonetto Collection — the first collection to incorporate acoustic technologies specifically designed for the Suprema flagship system. Taking its name from the sonet (the oldest Italian poetic structure), and derived from the Italian word for 'little song', Sonetto pays homage to the rich traditions of both Italy and Sonus faber, but in an accessible-tier form that brings reference-class engineering into a much more approachable price bracket.

Unique to the Sonetto V G2 and VIII G2 floorstanders in the series is a 6.5" midrange driver with a white paper cone shaped like a flower — the Camelia midrange, first introduced in the Suprema statement system. The multilobed cone geometry distributes undesirable resonance across a wider range of frequencies than a circular cone, reducing its adverse effect. The midrange motor system, like the tweeter's, uses a copper ring to reduce distortion.

The VIII G2 is a 3-way tower with a pair of 8-inch woofers and a 6.5-inch Camelia midrange — the largest Sonetto configuration. Each driver is custom-engineered specifically for the Sonetto G2 collection. The lute-shaped cabinet, an iconic Sonus faber design element, combines aesthetic elegance with high-fidelity sound. Handcrafted with the artisanal woodwork and Italian leather details that define every Sonus faber product.
