Sonus faber Sonetto V G2

Sonetto V G2 is the mid-tier floorstanding loudspeaker of Sonus faber's second-generation Sonetto Collection — a 3-way tower that shares the Camelia midrange with the flagship Sonetto VIII G2 while scaling to a more practical footprint. The Sonetto G2 line is the first Sonetto collection to incorporate acoustic technologies specifically designed for the Suprema flagship, and V G2 delivers that Suprema-derived engineering in a room-friendly form.

Sonetto V G2 pairs the Camelia 6.5-inch midrange — the multilobed white paper cone shape first introduced in Suprema — with a pair of 6.5-inch 'paper pulp sandwich' woofers. A tuned port fires downward onto a dedicated concrete bass plate, a G2 innovation. The plate is separated from the speaker itself by four metal spacers, and can be kept off the floor via rubber feet or spikes (both included). This is a notable improvement over the first-generation Sonetto V, whose down-firing ports fired directly into whatever floor covered the room — with bass loudness dependent on flooring absorption.

Each driver is custom-engineered specifically for the Sonetto G2 collection. The tweeter motor system, like the Camelia's, uses a copper ring to reduce distortion. The 3-way lute-shape cabinet combines aesthetic elegance with high-fidelity sound. Handcrafted with Sonus faber's signature artisanal woodwork and Italian leather details.
