Sonus faber Lumina CI

Lumina CI is the centre-channel loudspeaker of Sonus faber's Lumina Collection — a 2-way horizontal design engineered as the voice-matched centre for a Lumina-anchored multichannel system. It was one of the three original Lumina models when the collection launched in September 2020, alongside Lumina I and Lumina III, and it remains the loudspeaker that turns a Lumina stereo pair into a Lumina cinema system.

The 2-way system pairs the 29 mm DAD (Damped Apex Dome) silk soft dome tweeter shared across the entire Lumina range — the same Kurt Müller-manufactured driver used on the Sonetto series above it — with two 120 mm paper-cone midwoofers arranged flanking the tweeter in a horizontal cabinet. The midwoofers are the same 120 mm paper-cone drivers used in Lumina I, which is what makes voice-matching to a Lumina I or Lumina II front stage acoustically coherent.

Crossover sits at 2,000 Hz through Sonus faber-branded high-quality capacitors. Frequency response is 65 Hz to 24 kHz at 87 dB sensitivity into 4 ohms, with recommended amplification of 30 to 100 watts. Cabinet dimensions are 168 mm high by 523 mm wide by 213 mm deep, at 7.6 kilograms per unit. The front-firing port lets the centre sit on a shelf under a screen or in a low-clearance cabinet without losing bass control. Available in Piano Black, Wenge or Walnut real-wood veneer with maple inlays.
