Sonus faber Arena 5

Arena 5 is the mid-tier in-wall LCR loudspeaker of Sonus faber's Arena Ci-Fi (Custom Install Fidelity) collection — a 3-way sealed-box design that sits between the flagship Arena 30 / 30H at the top and the compact Arena 2 / 1 at the bottom. It is the front-stage loudspeaker for a mid-scale custom cinema where Arena 30 would overwhelm the room, and the surround loudspeaker for a larger cinema anchored on Arena 30 / 30H fronts.

The driver complement is a proper 3-way system: two 6.5-inch paper-cone woofers with neodymium magnets handle the low frequencies, two 5.25-inch paper-cone midrange drivers with ferrite magnets carry the midband, and a 1.1-inch (28 mm) silk-dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet and copper cap covers the highs. The paired drivers on each bandwidth double the effective radiating area, which is what gives Arena 5 the output headroom to fill a real cinema room rather than a two-channel listening space.

Non-symmetric organic basket geometry on the mid and low drivers keeps the structure rigid while allowing free cone motion — the same basket philosophy used across the Arena range. Sealed-box loading in a wood-and-aluminium cabinet 300 mm wide by 1,058 mm high, with a 100 mm mounting depth that fits into standard wall cavity framing. Optional square magnetic grille for a clean architectural finish. Handcrafted in Vicenza.
