Sonus faber Arena 20

Arena is Sonus faber's answer to a problem the company had avoided for most of its history: what happens when the loudspeakers have to disappear into the architecture. The collection is built on a concept Sonus faber calls CI-FI — custom installation held to the same standard as the floorstanders, rather than treated as a lesser category.

The Arena 20 carries the front channels. It is a 3.5-way in-wall system of four transducers, using the Voice of Sonus faber mid and high set that runs through the Homage and Reference collections, with long-excursion woofers and DAD technology below. Sensitivity is 92 dB, it will take 400 watts RMS, and it reaches 117 dB at a metre — the headroom a dedicated cinema actually asks for.

Nearly a metre and a half tall and 47 kilograms apiece, these are substantial loudspeakers that happen to sit inside a wall. Handcrafted in Vicenza alongside everything else Sonus faber builds.
