Magnepan 30.7 Ribbon Line Source Loudspeakers

The 30.7 is Magnepan's culmination — a four-panel, four-way system (two panels per side) using ribbon and quasi-ribbon planar-magnetic drivers arranged as a full-line source. Jonathan Valin of The Absolute Sound has called it "the best Maggie I've heard," which for a company whose designs have set the reference in planar loudspeakers for over 55 years is a serious statement. Each 30.7 side consists of a bass panel and a mid/high panel, working in a true line-source geometry that scales with the room in a way point-source designs simply can't. The imaging is life-size, the tonal balance is dead-neutral, and the sense of a real acoustic space unfolding behind the speakers is what Maggie owners have chased for decades — delivered here in its most fully-realized form.
