Magnepan 20.7 Ribbon Planar Loudspeakers

The 20.7 remains Magnepan's flagship single-panel loudspeaker — a three-way planar with a true ribbon tweeter, quasi-ribbon midrange, and quasi-ribbon bass driver, all housed in a single tall panel per side. Its transient speed, holographic imaging, and ability to disappear as sound sources are the hallmarks of the Magnepan aesthetic taken to their most refined single-panel expression. At 79 inches tall, the 20.7 requires a room with the ceiling height and side-wall spacing to breathe — but when properly set up, it delivers a soundstage and tonal purity that few dynamic loudspeakers at any price can approach. Bass response is fast, articulate, and remarkably deep for a dipole, provided the room supports it.
