Kimber Kable KS 6063 Loudspeaker Cable

KS 6063 was engineered to extract everything copper has to offer. Twelve 24 AWG solid core OFE copper conductors braided around a geometry-stabilizing central core, then a further twelve 19 AWG OFE copper VariStrand conductors on top, with a woven yarn stabilization layer over the whole assembly. Copper refined to 99.995% purity.

The architecture is identical to the KS 6068 and KS 6065 — same central core, same spaced-and-damped multi-layered matrix geometry, same WBT nextgen termination options. What changes is only the metallurgy: 6063 is entirely copper, both in the solid core layer and in the VariStrand layer, with none of the silver conductors that appear in 6068 or in the 8:4 ratio of 6065.

The all-copper design produces a rich, dynamically robust presentation and naturally layered, lifelike soundscapes — Kimber’s own words, and a fair description of what copper does well when the construction around it is not the limiting factor. This is the entry into Select at the loudspeaker end, and in a system with silver already elsewhere in the signal path it is frequently the more musical choice rather than the more affordable one.

KS 6063 is the correct choice where the argument for copper is settled — either because the electronics are already voiced with silver-heavy character elsewhere and copper anchors the balance, or because the tonal density and dynamic authority of a copper Select cable is exactly what the loudspeaker needs. Its interconnect counterparts are the KS 1016 (RCA) and KS 1116 (balanced XLR).
