Product Details
The Relentless 800 Monoblock brings Relentless sound quality to a more compact platform — the same circuit topology as the Epic 1600, engineered so that only power output separates it from its bigger brother. Every major section — power supply, input, driver, and output stages — is built to the Relentless standard, because the point of the line is that there is only one standard.
The core of the power supply is a shielded transformer with multiple sections running in concert, producing nearly zero radiated noise — close to 4 kVA behind 400,000 µF of capacitance, feeding 84 output devices. The input stage carries the same new devices as the flagship, delivering a 300% increase in current over previous designs, and there is no global negative feedback anywhere: the amplifier's open-loop linearity eliminates the need. The result is an amplifier that is nuanced and musical at low levels and delivers the striking dynamic contrasts that bring music to life — 800 watts into 8 ohms, rising to 1,500 into 4 and 3,000 into 2 with adequate mains, at 113 dB unweighted signal-to-noise.
The credential that matters most is where it works. In LMC's Scottsdale WAMM Room, a pair of Relentless 800s drives the Wilson WAMM Master Chronosonic directly — behind the Relentless Preamplifier, sourced by the full dCS Varèse Music System and a Clearaudio Statement V2, through a complete Transparent Ultra Gen 6 loom. That is one of fewer than ten WAMM demonstrations anywhere in the world, and it is the context in which this amplifier can be heard doing precisely the job it was built for.
Sold as a pair, in silver, black, or custom finish. The WAMM Room is open whenever we are — walk in during business hours or book ahead for an extended session — and it is the shortest possible argument for what Relentless means.
