Product Details

Description

The Progression Neo Preamplifier is the control center of the Neo generation — a reference stereo preamplifier built around a Z JFET-based, ultra-low-noise input stage, with balanced, discrete circuitry throughout and a substantially rebuilt power supply. A potted, oversized custom-designed analog transformer feeds a 66% increase in operating rail voltage over the previous Progression preamplifier, which is the kind of headroom that shows up as ease and dynamic composure rather than as a number.

The operational surface is the newest D'Agostino idiom: a Dual Domain Hybrid display volume control and the Vision Bluetooth remote. Connectivity is generous for the tier — two RCA and six XLR inputs, and two independent XLR outputs for biamping or subwoofer integration — with RS-232 and a 12-volt trigger for system control. An optional Digital Streaming Module adds network and HDMI connectivity.

Progression is the line built for a serious reference system without Momentum pricing, and the Neo preamplifier is the stage the Neo amplifiers were designed around. At LMC it belongs to the Tempe demonstration, where Progression electronics drive Wilson TuneTot — serious control and amplification in front of a small Wilson, which is the fastest way to hear what the line actually does.
