Description

The Progression Integrated Amplifier is Dan D'Agostino's complete-in-one-chassis Progression system — Progression preamplification and power amplification unified in a single unit, in the line's machined aluminum with copper accents. For listeners whose priority is Dan D'Agostino's character in a form that requires exactly one chassis in the rack, this is the answer at Progression scale.

The integration argument is the same one that holds across the catalogue, and it holds here at its most accessible: the preamplifier and power stages are the line's own, the interconnect between them disappears into the chassis, and the system gains simplicity without surrendering the construction standard that justifies the name on the fascia.

The Tempe demonstration is the one that changes minds. The Progression Integrated runs with the Progression Preamplifier on Wilson TuneTot — a stand-mount small enough for a desk or a bookshelf, given electronics from the line directly below Momentum, with a Linn Akurate DS as source and Kimber Kable throughout. That is the opposite of the usual approach to a small loudspeaker, and it is the point: put a genuinely serious system in front of a small Wilson and hear how much of the reference-room experience survives the reduction in scale.

If you are building a one-chassis system around a serious loudspeaker — Wilson or otherwise — start here, in that room. The audition takes an afternoon, and the question it answers is whether your system needs anything more. Often it does not.
