Product Details
The Pendulum Integrated Amplifier is the newest line from Dan D'Agostino Master Audio Systems and the entry point to D'Agostino ownership — introduced at Munich High End 2024 as the most accessible expression of four decades of amplifier design. At its heart is the re-engineered JFET input circuit topology derived from the Momentum C2 Preamplifier: the same ultra-low-noise front end that anchors the reference tier, applied to a component a fraction of its price.
The engineering underneath is unmistakably the house's. A custom 750 VA toroidal transformer and a nearly 25,000 µF capacitor bank deliver 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms, doubling to 240 into 4 — the doubling being the signature of a power supply that does not flinch. The signal path is all-balanced, direct-coupled, and complementary; the fascia carries an LCD display inspired by Swiss watch design, and control runs through a Bluetooth remote housed in machined Delrin.
The platform is modular, and notably forward-looking: the optional digital module makes the Pendulum the first D'Agostino component with an HDMI eARC input — alongside optical, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi — which means it integrates into a living-room television system as gracefully as into a dedicated listening room. An optional moving-coil phono module adds 60 dB of gain with selectable loading for vinyl playback. Analog connectivity includes three balanced inputs, one with theater pass-through, and balanced preamplifier outputs for subwoofer integration.
Because Pendulum is the newest program in the range, the right first step is a conversation: where it fits your system, and how it compares against the Progression electronics on our floor — a comparison we can set up directly in Tempe. Call either showroom or come in, and the decision gets made by ear rather than by tier name.
