Burmester 032 Integrated Amplifier

The Burmester 032 is the top of the Classic Line integrated amplifier range — the fullest single-chassis Burmester expression short of the Reference Line 232. Rated at 170 watts per channel into 4 ohms with a damping factor greater than 1,800, it draws on a mighty 650 VA power supply to deliver the continuous high current needed to properly control loudspeakers with low impedance and complex loads. Excellent spatial resolution and musicality are the hallmarks.

Connectivity exceeds the normal integrated amplifier range: three XLR inputs, two RCA analog inputs, one XLR output, and a Pre-Out output for connecting a separate power amplifier or the central volume control of different listening zones within a multi-room application. Home theater bypass is included. The chromed control element in Burmester’s signature milled-brass mid-section, hand-assembly in Berlin, and the classic silver-anodised heat sinks all carry the design language of the larger amplifiers into a single chassis.

In a Burmester Classic Line system, the 032 partners naturally with a Burmester source (175 turntable, 111 Musiccenter, or 151 MK2) as a two-piece source-plus-integrated configuration, and provides the upgrade path to separates via Pre-Out when a client wants to add a dedicated power amplifier down the line. It drives the B-Series loudspeakers comfortably and reaches into the BC150 territory when the room and the ancillary components are matched.
