Burmester 175 Turntable

The Burmester 175 is Burmester's turntable for the listener who wants the analog engineering handled and the analog choices kept open. Turntable and tonearm arrive engineered and supplied together — belt drive, precision motor control, 33 1/3 and 45 RPM — while cartridge and phono stage are chosen per configuration rather than fixed at the factory.

That distinction is exactly what separates it from the 257, and choosing between them is the real Burmester analog question. The 257 is the closed system: cartridge and phono stage integrated and factory-aligned, every variable resolved before delivery. The 175 keeps the platform philosophy — turntable and arm as one engineered instrument, never an assemblage of disparate parts — while leaving the cartridge decision and the phono stage where some serious vinyl listeners genuinely want them: in their own hands.

The natural phono partner is the Reference Line 100 — X-Amp fully balanced dual-mono, with loading and gain adjustable across the full range of moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, and two switchable inputs.
