The Burmester 232 is the Classic Line's integrated amplifier — preamplifier, phono stage, and X-Amp power amplification unified in one chassis, and the most complete single-component expression of the Burmester character in the current range. The output stage is the point of pride: the X-Amp topology in the 232 is the same fully balanced approach found in the Reference Line power amplifiers, delivering 150 watts per channel into 4 ohms. That is not diffusion-line engineering wearing the badge — it is the company's core amplification argument at Classic Line scale. The integrated preamplifier stage handles source selection and level, and the built-in phono stage accepts both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, so a turntable connects directly with no additional box.
