Ascendo The100 SUB PRO

The100 replaced the 80-inch model in July 2025, and the name change is worth understanding: Ascendo moved to the professional convention of measuring the driver basket rather than the cone, so The100 is the successor to The80 rather than a step beyond it. The64 replaced The50 in the same announcement.

What arrives is a driver, not a subwoofer. At 2,360 mm square and 260 kg it is too large to ship as a finished cabinet, so the enclosure is specified per room — minimum 10 cubic metres — and built on site by the dealer or contractor to a design Ascendo draws against the room's dimensions and structure. Every installation is effectively bespoke, and the published output figures are examples that move with the enclosure that gets built.

The motor is a dual 21-inch voice coil with 39 mm of excursion in each direction, held in a homogeneous magnetic field throughout that travel. Paired with a critically damped sealed alignment and a very low resonance frequency, it produces the low group delay that matters more than raw output below 10 Hz — a subwoofer that arrives and stops on time at frequencies most systems cannot reach at all.

This is not a product anyone specifies casually. It belongs in rooms designed around it from the start, and the conversation begins with the architecture rather than the equipment rack.
