Wisdom Audio Sage Series L150

The L150 is the tallest line source Wisdom builds into a wall, and a 76-inch driver complement at this depth of enclosure is genuinely unusual among in-wall and on-wall loudspeakers. Frequency response runs 30 Hz to 20 kHz within 2 dB, sensitivity is 96 dB, and peak power handling exceeds 1,000 watts.

Length is the point. A true line source of this height eliminates floor and ceiling reflections rather than fighting them, which is why it belongs in the rooms that defeat conventional loudspeakers — cathedral and coffered ceilings, hard floors, wide or tiered seating. The result holds together at any volume rather than only at the level it was voiced for.

Every enclosure is aircraft grade aluminium. It is offered in-wall as the L150i and on-wall as the L150m, and the two can be mixed within a single installation. Like most of the Sage Series it needs an SC-2 or SC-3 for DSP and outboard crossovers plus three channels of amplification — more system to specify than the passive Insight models, and the reason it performs the way it does.
