The McIntosh MA9500 is the reference solid-state integrated amplifier in McIntosh’s range — 300 watts per channel, all-analog output with McIntosh’s celebrated Autoformer topology, and comprehensive digital connectivity via the included DA2 Digital Audio Module. The 300W-per-channel output stage uses McIntosh’s Autoformer transformer technology, which delivers the amplifier’s full rated power to any speaker regardless of impedance — 4, 8, or even 2 ohms all receive the same 300W. This is the technology that lets the MA9500 drive difficult loudspeakers (electrostatic panels, planar magnetics, complex crossover networks) that would challenge integrated amplifiers without impedance-matching transformers.
