dCS Vivaldi Upsampler Plus

The Vivaldi Upsampler is the system hub of the Vivaldi program — dCS's digital-to-digital converter and network streamer, the component that gathers every digital source a listener owns and delivers it to the Vivaldi APEX DAC in its optimal form. In a component-based Vivaldi system, this is where streaming lives.

The upsampling function is the technical heart. Music arrives at its native sample rate — from the network, from a transport, from a storage drive — and the Upsampler converts it to high-resolution DXD, DSD, or high-resolution PCM before conversion. Performing that mathematics in a dedicated component, upstream of the DAC, is the Vivaldi architecture's argument: each stage does one job with full resources. The audible result dCS engineers for is a more vibrant, three-dimensional, transparent, and effortless presentation than the same file played at native rate.

As a streamer it is complete: a high-performance UPnP platform with Roon Ready certification and direct access to TIDAL, Spotify, Qobuz, Deezer, and internet radio, plus playback from external drives over USB. Every modern source a digital library contains enters the Vivaldi system through this one component.

The configuration logic: Vivaldi APEX DAC plus Upsampler is the two-box core of a streaming Vivaldi system.
