dCS Rossini APEX Player

The Rossini APEX Player is the integrated expression of the Rossini program — the Rossini APEX DAC and a CD/SACD transport combined in a single chassis, for the listener whose library spans discs and streams and whose rack has room for exactly one digital component.

Both halves are full implementations. The conversion side is the dCS Ring DAC in its APEX hardware generation — the same proprietary converter architecture as the standalone Rossini APEX DAC, not a simplified derivative. The transport side is a top-loading CD/SACD mechanism with a capability that defines the dCS approach to silver disc: CD data can be upsampled to DSD, DSD/128, or DXD before conversion, so a sixteen-bit disc from 1987 is presented to the Ring DAC with the same mathematical care as a modern high-resolution stream.

Streaming is complete as well — all major services through the dCS Mosaic platform with Roon Ready certification, alongside network, USB, AES, and SPDIF inputs for every other source a system contains. One chassis, every format a serious library holds.

The configuration choice within the Rossini program is clean: the Player for the integrated single-box system; the standalone Rossini APEX DAC plus Rossini Transport as separates for the listener who prefers dedicated chassis per function.
