The Z evolution of the Relentless 800 — 1,200 watts into 8Ω with the new Z JFET input stage, in the more compact Relentless platform.

Product Details

Description

The Relentless 800 Z Monaural brings the Z evolution to the more compact Relentless platform — the same Z JFET input stage as the Epic 1600 Z, in the chassis engineered so that only power output separates it from the flagship. Rated output rises to 1,200 watts into 8 ohms, 1,500 into 4, and 3,000 into 2 with adequate mains.

As with the flagship, the new input stage is about coupling as much as power: its ultra-high impedance lets the amplifier draw more current from the Relentless Z Preamplifier, so preamplifier and amplifier operate as the matched pair D'Agostino designed them to be. Everything that makes a Relentless a Relentless is intact — fully balanced, complementary, discrete circuitry with no global negative feedback, Super Rail topology, the copper-and-aluminum heatsinks, the Ballistic Meter behind mineral glass, and the solid-aluminum chassis. Only one standard runs through the line, and the 800 Z is built to it.

The Relentless line anchors LMC's Scottsdale WAMM Room, where it drives the Wilson WAMM Master Chronosonic within a full dCS Varèse and Clearaudio Statement chain — the context in which a Relentless amplifier is best understood. The 800 Z is the amplifier for a reference system that wants Relentless character and current without the flagship's footprint or price.
