Burmester BC350 Loudspeaker

The Burmester BC350 is the flagship of the Signature Line — the four-way floor-standing loudspeaker Burmester voiced as the reference partner to its own Reference Line electronics. It is the answer to the question every all-Burmester system eventually asks: what loudspeaker were these amplifiers actually designed to drive?

The four-way architecture assigns each frequency band its own optimized driver section. At the top, an Air Motion Transformer tweeter — the folded-diaphragm design whose accelerated air motion delivers the speed and openness the BC350's character depends on. The proprietary mid-driver occupies its own dedicated cabinet section, and the long-throw bass drivers work in their own isolated enclosure — a compartmentalized construction in which the acoustic load of one frequency band never compromises another. The midrange never breathes the pressure the woofers generate; the bass section never colors the band where voices live.

Voicing is the deeper point. The BC350 was not developed in isolation and matched to amplification afterward — it was voiced as the reference partner to the Reference Line, which means a 909 MK5 or 159 pair driving BC350s is not a pairing so much as a completed circuit: the system as Burmester's own listening rooms conceived it.

The BC350 asks for a room of appropriate scale, and rewards it with the full-range authority a flagship four-way exists to deliver.
