The Burmester 159 is Burmester’s reference-tier monoblock power amplifier — the topological argument of the 259 delivered as a single-channel design for reference systems where per-channel isolation and current delivery are the deciding requirements. Same X-Amp fully balanced signal path from input to output. Same warm-idle Class AB design that operates in Class A through the first watts before transitioning smoothly to Class AB for peak power. What changes is that the entire chassis is dedicated to a single channel — doubling the power supply, doubling the output stage per side, and eliminating the crosstalk that even the best stereo amplifiers cannot fully suppress.
