Christmas came early at LMC Home Entertainment, with something truly special under the tree: Burmester's new reference-level 259 power amplifier prototypes.

First debuted at Munich High End 2025 in collaboration with Burmester's automotive partner Porsche — celebrating the new Porsche 911 Spirit 70 — a single black edition and a chrome pair came to LMC on exclusive loan from Burmester. The prototypes were available for a very limited time, offering LMC clients a rare opportunity to be among the first in the world to hear the 259 in person.

From the initial listening sessions, LMC's audio specialists noted the amplifier's depth and control, delivering a presentation that remained engaging and fatigue-free over extended listening periods. During their stay, the 259 amplifiers were demonstrated in two different systems, powering the Wilson Audio Alexx V and Sonus faber Special Edition loudspeakers.

The Burmester 259 uses a passive, silent cooling design and operates as a stereo power amplifier, with the option for mono configuration. Its design emphasizes consistency and long-term listening comfort.

The prototypes have since returned to Burmester. LMC looks forward to welcoming the 259 power amplifiers back as a permanent showroom addition.
