REL No.31 Reference Subwoofer

No.31 delivers the No.32's Reference-tier engineering in a more compact cabinet. Where the No.32 uses a 15" driver, the No.31 uses a newly-developed 12" (300mm) long-throw carbon fibre driver with inverted carbon fibre centre cap on a die-cast alloy chassis. The NextGen 7 Class D amplifier is the same design as the No.32's, limited to 900 watts to match the 12" driver's optimal operating window — LimitLess Limiter, dual parametric filters, the whole Reference control set intact.

The reduction in physical mass is significant: 25 1/8 x 17 x 28 1/2 inches versus the No.32's 29 1/4 x 21 x 32 1/8, and 114.5 lbs versus 200+. But the curvilinear reference cabinet geometry is preserved, and the fine-tuning capability is identical. No.31 exists for reference-level systems in rooms that can't take the No.32 — or for stereo pair and Line Array configurations where two or six No.31s outperform a single No.32 by significant margin.
