Octave V 80 SE Integrated Amplifier

The Octave V 80 SE sets a new benchmark for quality and performance in the integrated amplifier category. It is the crown of the Octave integrated amplifier range and features a completely new amplifier design — a new driver stage, upgraded output transformers, and a more sophisticated power transformer highlight the technical design, while a completely new feedback loop offers absolute stability. As a serious alternative to high-end separate pre- and power-amplifier components, the V 80 SE offers a wide variety of inputs (both RCA and XLR), full-function preamp capabilities, and an optional MM or MC phono board.

The new amplifier design, optimized for the higher-power KT 150 or KT 120 tubes (available as an option), yields up to 120 watts per channel output power — allowing perfect control of virtually any loudspeaker even at high sound pressure levels. Music flows effortlessly with an unrivaled sense of ease, precise control, and inexhaustible dynamics. The midrange remains natural and warm, while high frequencies are accurately reproduced with all the nuanced fine details that make the difference in reference-tier high-fidelity playback.

Unique in Octave's range, the V 80 SE features a headphone connector with a high-grade discrete headphone amplifier delivering very low distortion (<0.008% at 200 ohms) and uncompromised sound quality. Home Theater Bypass allows integration into a multichannel system as the front-channel amplifier. Octave's innovative Ecomode reduces heat and power consumption when the amplifier is on but not in use. Bias can be adjusted in three steps with a small screwdriver at the front panel, making tube experimentation simple.
