MBL 111 F Radialstrahler

The MBL 111 F sits one step below the 101 E MKII in the Radialstrahler line, and the lineage is unmistakable. Its pulsating spherical tweeter and midrange — the Radial HT37 and MT50 — are built from the same exotic carbon-fiber materials found in the flagship 101 X-Treme and the iconic 101 E MKII, radiating sound in every horizontal direction at once.

What separates the 111 F from the 116 F below it is the bass architecture. The low-mids — a pair of 5-inch aluminium cone drivers in push-push configuration — live in their own sealed 14-liter enclosure for tight, well-controlled output that blends cleanly into the omnidirectional soundscape. Below that, a matched pair of 8-inch twin-layered aluminium-sandwich woofers occupies a separate, reinforced 58-liter bass-reflex cabinet, decoupled from the enclosure above. Positioned on the sides in push-push with a massive aluminum rod bracing the driver baskets, they radiate sub-bass from both flanks of the cabinet in a 180-degree pattern that dovetails seamlessly with the Radialstrahler drivers overhead — reaching down to 38 Hz with 2,200 watts of peak power handling.

The push-push principle governs every cone driver in the speaker: membranes oscillating in unison, recoil forces cancelling, the cabinet spared mechanical vibration. Whether it's Wagner or Jagger, the 111 F conveys the complete performance with precision and authority — in rooms up to about 60 m². Each speaker weighs 64.5 kilograms. Handbuilt in Berlin.
