Product Details
The Diamond Jubilee MC is Clearaudio’s 2025 anniversary flagship — built to mark forty-five years of the company’s cartridge engineering and limited to forty-five units worldwide. It sits at the very top of the current Clearaudio cartridge range, above the standing-production Goldfinger Statement V2.1, and it represents where the company’s design language has arrived after two full decades of iterating the reference-tier moving-coil.
The technical change from the Goldfinger is the body material. Where the Goldfinger uses 14-karat gold for damping and mass, the Diamond Jubilee uses zirconium oxide — among the hardest and most stable materials available to precision manufacturing today, chosen for its resonance stability more than its weight. Manufacturing tolerances are held to 0.001 mm, and the material choice is protected by a patent application. From Goldfinger the Diamond Jubilee inherits ultra-thin 24-carat gold coil wire, integrated high-frequency shielding of the generator assembly, and Peter Suchy’s absolutely-symmetrical coil geometry. What is new is a revised, freshly angled boron cantilever for more precise tracking, a re-optimised neodymium magnet array with revised coil geometry for greater dynamic authority, and a precision-cut Micro-HD diamond in Clearaudio’s Prime Line PLUS grind.
Measured, it delivers 0.6–0.65 mV output into a 50 Ω impedance, more than 35 dB of channel separation, and better than 0.15 dB of channel balance — the numbers of a serious reference cartridge, packed into a body that weighs just 9.25 g. In the Clearaudio range, Diamond Jubilee sits above Goldfinger Statement V2.1 (still the standing catalogue flagship) and above the tonewood-bodied Jubilee MC below.
The Diamond Jubilee MC is the right cartridge for a system where the turntable is a Statement V2, Master Innovation, Master Jubilee, or Reference Jubilee and the phono chain is already reference-class.
