The Super Balanced Interconnect is the XLR-terminated companion to Super RCA — sitting in Transparent’s REALISTIC collection, one step above the Plus/AUTHENTIC tier and engineered for balanced-line systems that have moved past capable-mid-range. Runs fully differential from source to preamp: two independently-shielded signal paths plus separate ground, terminated in gold-plated XLR connectors. The value shows up most in longer runs and in systems where component chassis are separated across a rack — Super Balanced rejects common-mode noise picked up along the way in a way that single-ended geometry cannot.

Super’s built-in network module — the length-calibrated Network Technology that defines the range — is matched to each cable length individually, so a 1-meter and a 5-meter Super Balanced sound identical through the same balanced electronics. Signal path is heavier, precision-wound OFHC stranded copper than Plus Balanced, and connector quality steps up correspondingly. What separates Super from Plus at this tier is more efficient signal transfer across a wider bandwidth, which in a resolving system means better retrieval of low-level information and more definition in the bass than Plus can deliver.
