Plus Speaker Cable is Transparent’s entry point into the AUTHENTIC collection on the speaker side of a system — the cable tier where their length-calibrated Network Technology moves from a feature list into an audible one. Every length of Plus Speaker Cable ships with its own network module calibrated to that cable’s specific electrical characteristics, so an 8-foot pair and a 20-foot pair sound the same through the same electronics driving the same speakers.

The physical build handles the fundamentally different demands of a speaker cable versus a signal interconnect: substantially higher current, wide bandwidth from below 20 Hz to well above 20 kHz, and terminations engineered for reliable mechanical contact under the current levels a mid-power amplifier delivers. Heavy, precision-wound OFHC stranded copper is terminated in gold-plated spade or banana connectors. The network module’s role on a speaker cable is filtering RF interference and taming impedance interactions between amplifier, cable, and speaker crossover — audibly, this shows up as tighter bass control and better imaging than Plus’s MusicWave-tier predecessor.

Plus Speaker Cable is designed for systems where the electronics have moved past entry-level but haven’t reached reference tier yet — good integrated amplifiers or capable separates driving mid-tier speakers where the cable’s role is to preserve everything the amp and speaker are already capable of. Sold in pairs with standard spade or banana termination; biwire configurations are available for speakers with four-post inputs. Fully upgradeable to Super, Ultra, Reference, XL, Opus, or Magnum Opus Speaker Cable through Transparent’s Upgrade Program, with original investment credited.
